Girvan Arts Festival 2022

June 2022 sees the inaugural Girvan Arts Festival, due to take place over the weekend of June 11th-12th. With a packed programme, there is something for everyone, including poetry, prose, visual art and photography!

All events take place in Girvan Community Garden, apart from the Festival Party (Harbour Bar), Strathclyde University Chamber Choir (South Parish Church Hall), and the ‘Dainty Doily’ Teas (South Parish Church Hall).

There’s also an Art Exhibition taking place in the Wee School Art Space across the weekend. Check out the Girvan Arts Festival official website for a full programme including costs and times.

 

Community Events are happening across the town over the weekend too, including:

 
1. “Dainty Doily”, Vintage Cream Tea, Vintage China, Vintage music at the South Parish Church Hall 👉Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th June. 11am -4pm
 
2. Girvan and District Town twinning association are hosting an Open Afternoon, where you can enjoy a game of petanque and share members experiences of visiting France, receiving French visitors and enjoying French culture 👉 McKechnie institute garden, Ailsa Street West, 2pm-4pm Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th June.
 
3. Girvan Mens Shed Open Day 11am-3pm Sat and Sunday 11th and 12th June 👉 Girvan Football ground, Hamilton Park.
 
4. Biosphere bikes “Bling your bike competition” 👉Rear of Quay zone 11th and 12th June.
