Pop into Girvan Tourist Information Point during July and enter our fundraising competition for a chance to win a 2-night midweek stay at Barrhill Holiday Park – Ayrshire’s Holiday Park of the Year

Over the summer we will be running a series of fundraising competitions in Girvan’s Tourist Information Point to win stays at fabulous local accommodation. During July you can win a delux hot tub glamping pod stay at Barrhill Holiday Park, so pop in and submit your entry asap because you have to be in it to win it! 

The award-winning Barrhill Holiday Park is just 20 minutes from Girvan and over the last 6 years, owners Philip and Laura Watt, have worked hard to transform it into a family-friendly site. They have recently added a number of dog-friendly glamping pods with their own private hot tubs and firepits.

The prize is for a break in one of their delux pods with private hot tubs. Sleeping up to five people, they are the perfect option for a family holiday or a getaway with friends. Each pod is fully equipped with a full en-suite, a 32″ Freesat TV, kettle, microwave, fridge, and heater, meaning you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub is the cherry on top of this luxurious escape, providing the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing or activities.

THE PRIZE – Win a 2-night stay for up to 5 people in a Delux Pod with a Hot Tub. Stays are valid Monday to Thursday night (excludes Friday & Saturday nights) and are subject to availability. The prize must be used within 12 months of the competition closing date of 31st July 2023

HOW TO ENTER – Visit Girvan’s Tourist Information Point located in The Town House, opposite Girvan RNLI, where our volunteer staff will provide you with an entry postcard and instructions. Each entry is £1 and all money raised goes directly towards supporting the future of the Tourist Information.

There is no limit on how many times you can enter but each individual entry costs £1. Entry closes at 11 pm on 31st July and the winner will be picked at random and notified thereafter. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.

We are currently raising funds to support the future of Girvan’s Tourist Information Point

At present the Tourist Information Point in Girvan is run entirely by volunteers and all funds raised by our summer competitions will go directly towards initiatives and investments that will help us become sustainable and improve our facility. This will allow us to continue offering this invaluable service and welcome visitors to the town for years to come.

Our volunteers at Girvan’s Tourist Information will be delighted to share their local knowledge. You can also pick up leaflets, maps, access the internet, and shop for local arts and crafts. If you want to do your wee bit to keep Girvan tidy, you can also borrow some litter-picking equipment.

We are incredibly grateful to Barrhill Holiday Park for supporting Girvan’s Tourist Information Point and their generosity in donating this prize. If you’re not lucky in our competition draw, we would still highly recommend booking your own stay at this fabulous family-friendly park!

COMPETITION T&Cs

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering the competition. By entering you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions and you agree to be bound by them.

• The competition commences on 1st July and closes on 31st July 2023 at 11 pm. All entries must be received by 11 pm on 31st July 2023 or they will be deemed invalid. Go Girvan is not responsible for entries not received and/or any lost entries. 
• Individual entries cost £1 – to enter contact details must be submitted on a postcard with the answer to the following question – ‘Where in Girvan did Robert the Bruce hold court’? 
• Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions. Incomplete or corrupted entries will not be accepted. 
• There is one (1) holiday to be won consisting of a two (2) night midweek stay at a deluxe pod in Barrhill Holiday Park and excludes Friday and Saturday nights. The stay must be booked and taken within 12 months of the competition closing. The prize will automatically expire after 12 months and if not claimed by the redemption date, it will be deemed forfeited 
• The winner will be chosen at random from all correct answers and valid entries received 
• The winner will be notified by email or phone within 28 days of the closing date with instructions on how to claim their prize. If a winner cannot be contacted or is unable to accept their prize, Go Girvan reserves the right to choose another winner from eligible entries received. 
• The prize is subject to availability and must be booked directly with Barrhill Holiday Park

• Travel insurance is not included. It is the winners’ responsibility to check all visa, passport and COVID requirements are fulfilled and complied with. The prize is not transferable, and no alternative (including cash) will be offered. 
• Go Girvan reserves the right to amend the competition in exceptional circumstances. All entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and Go Girvan reserves the right to exclude entrants for any breach of these terms and conditions and/or subject to health and safety guidelines. Go Girvan’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to 
• Use of Data: All details provided by you will be held by Go Girvan and used in accordance with these terms and conditions. Other than the winning entrant, personal entry details will be destroyed by Go Girvan after the winner is selected. The winner’s details will be held by Go Girvan for contact purposes only in relation to the prize.
