All are invited to Go Girvan's second AGM

Go Girvan is holding it’s second AGM on Tuesday 26th March 2024 at 7pm, in the old courtroom of the Town House, 25 Knockcushan Street, Girvan.

Everyone is welcome to attend to find out more about what Go Girvan has been doing over the past year. We will also be taking applications from prospective Trustees for consideration at a later date and new members are always welcome with membership forms available at the AGM.

Since our last AGM, we have continued to enhance Girvan’s digital presence through our website and social media channels. We ran our second Tattie Fest in 2023 and are currently working on a more ambitious Tattie Fest in 2024.

We developed a successful dog friendly campaign which resulted in a national award and we have continued to consult with the community about our vision to build an Ailsa Craig Centre in Girvan. We are currently running a pop-up event in The McKenchnie Institute which outlines our ambition and celebrates some of the things that make Ailsa Craig so iconic.

We’ve also supported a number of local events both financially and with development hours, and we’ve worked closely with community groups to help with their projects. For example, we have a close relationship with the Girvan Town Team, working with them to create a new heritage walking trail with information lecterns located at key points of interest in the town.

Go Girvan is a two-tier SCIO. This means that we have a Board of Trustees, and members. We look forward to sharing our successes and attracting continued support and new members going forward.
