ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us on Sunday 14th May as we walk from Barr to Girvan together to celebrate the Coronation, finishing up at Girvan Community Garden for free refreshments!
Following South Ayrshire Council’s Core Path between Barr and Girvan, join up to 75 other walkers as we walk the distance between Barr and Girvan over the hills. The walk will be guided by Adventure Carrick and free refreshments will be provided by Girvan Community Garden at the end of the walk.

10am Sunday 14th May 2023, departing from Barr. Free transport can be booked from Girvan to Barr – see below for details.
HOW TO TAKE PART
To join the walk, you must register via the link below. Don’t forget to reserve a seat on the minibus if you need one! REGISTER HERE
FREE TRANSPORT DETAILS
Minibuses are available to transport walkers from Girvan to the starting point in Barr, and to return participants to Barr from Girvan if required at the end of the walk. For those who reserve a space on the minibus, please meet at the car park next to Girvan Community Garden from 9.30am. The return journey to Barr will also leave from that car park.
ROUTE DETAILS
The route is roughly 6-7 miles over medium-difficult ground including a bit of elevation, so make sure you wear appropriate footwear and clothing, and are able to walk this type of route. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads.

The event is free but spaces are limited to ensure everyone is safe and that we have sufficient refreshments available at the other end. You can reserve your place through Eventbrite by clicking below.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
*Please note, all walkers are responsible for their own equipment and possessions. Please also ensure you have a good supply of snacks and drinks for the walk as these will not be provided. We will have first aid trained personnel available on the day.*
