Barr village is nestled in the hills just 7 miles outside of Girvan. An area of outstanding beauty on the edge of the Galloway Forest and Dark Sky Park, Barr has a new addition to its wonderful countryside – a fairy village!

The fairy village has popped along the lower Fairy Knowe path (you can find out more via Gillian’s Walks) and visitors are welcome to leave their own fairy door or home as part of the project led by the Greenspaces team in Barr with help, support and lots of painting by the children at Barr Primary School, villagers and other community groups.
