Over the summer we will be running a series of fundraising competitions in Girvan’s Tourist Information Point to win stays at fabulous local accommodation. During August you can win a hot tub stay at Laigh Letterpin Luxury Lodge, so pop in and submit your entry asap because you have to be in it to win it! 

The magnificent bespoke and luxurious lodge sits in the splendid Ayrshire countryside. It is the ideal retreat for relaxation and provides guests with the utmost privacy and seclusion. It was meticulously constructed to meet the highest standards, featuring an open-plan layout with plush leather sofas, a sumptuous king-size bed, a modern kitchen, and a luxurious shower room.

Adding to the allure, the lodge is equipped with a magnificent wood burner, perfect for cozying up on chilly evenings, and even air conditioning to keep you comfortable during hotter days. And what’s more, the ultimate indulgence awaits you in the form of a hot tub.

THE PRIZE – Win a 2-night stay for up to 2 people at Laigh Letterpin Luxury Lodge. The stay must be taken between 5/1/24 and 30/4/24, excluding 9/2/24 – 19/2/24 and 29/3/24 – 7/4/24. A £150 redeemable damage deposit is required on booking. Please see below for full terms and conditions.

HOW TO ENTER – Visit Girvan’s Tourist Information Point located in The Town House, opposite Girvan RNLI, where our volunteer staff will provide you with an entry postcard and instructions. Each entry is £1 and all money raised goes directly towards supporting the future of the Tourist Information.

There is no limit on how many times you can enter but each individual entry costs £1. Entry closes at 11 pm on 31st August and the winner will be picked at random and notified thereafter. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.

We are currently raising funds to support the future of Girvan’s Tourist Information Point

At present the Tourist Information Point in Girvan is run entirely by volunteers and all funds raised by our summer competitions will go directly towards initiatives and investments that will help us become sustainable and improve our facility. This will allow us to continue offering this invaluable service and welcome visitors to the town for years to come.

Our volunteers at Girvan’s Tourist Information will be delighted to share their local knowledge. You can also pick up leaflets, maps, access the internet, and shop for local arts and crafts. If you want to do your wee bit to keep Girvan tidy, you can also borrow some litter-picking equipment.

We are incredibly grateful to Laigh Letterpin Luxury Lodges for supporting Girvan’s Tourist Information Point and their generosity in donating this prize. If you’re not lucky in our competition draw, we would still highly recommend booking your own stay at this fabulous luxury lodge!

COMPETITION T&Cs

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering the competition. By entering you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions and you agree to be bound by them.

The competition commences on 1st August and closes on 31st August 2023 at 11 pm. All entries must be received by 11 pm on 31st August 2023 or they will be deemed invalid. Go Girvan is not responsible for entries not received and/or any lost entries. 

Individual entries cost £1 – to enter contact details must be submitted on a postcard with the answer to the following question – ‘What is the connection between the Winter Olympics and the island of Ailsa Craig’? 

Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions. Incomplete or corrupted entries will not be accepted. 

There is one (1) holiday to be won consisting of a two (2) night stay at Laigh Letterpin Luxury Lodge. The stay must be taken between 5/1/24 and 30/4/24, excluding 9/2/24 – 19/2/24 and 29/3/24 – 7/4/24. The prize will automatically expire if not claimed by the redemption date and will be deemed forfeited. 

• The winner will be chosen at random from all correct answers and valid entries received 
• The winner will be notified by email or phone within 28 days of the closing date with instructions on how to claim their prize. If a winner cannot be contacted or is unable to accept their prize, Go Girvan reserves the right to choose another winner from eligible entries received. 
• The prize is subject to availability and must be booked directly with Laigh Letterpin Luxury Lodges 
• A £150 accidental damage deposit is required on booking which is redeemable if no damage occurs 
• The prize is also subject to Laigh Letterpin Luxury Lodges terms and conditions including a no pet policy https://laighletterpinluxurylodges.co.uk/ 
• Travel insurance is not included. It is the winners’ responsibility to check all visa, passport and COVID requirements are fulfilled and complied with. The prize is not transferable, and no alternative (including cash) will be offered. 
• Go Girvan reserves the right to amend the competition in exceptional circumstances. All entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and Go Girvan reserves the right to exclude entrants for any breach of these terms and conditions and/or subject to health and safety guidelines. Go Girvan’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to 
• Use of Data: All details provided by you will be held by Go Girvan and used in accordance with these terms and conditions. Other than the winning entrant, personal entry details will be destroyed by Go Girvan after the winner is selected. The winner’s details will be held by Go Girvan for contact purposes only in relation to the prize.
